1　　Header files　　

The header files are empty, so you can create them with touch:

$ touch a.h
$ touch b.h
$ touch c.h

2　　Source files

 /* main.c */
 #include <stdlib.h>
 #include "a.h"

 extern void function_ab();
 extern void function_bc();

 int main()
 {
   function_ab();
   function_bc();
   exit (EXIT_SUCCESS);
 }

3　　A simple makefile

 myapp: main.o ab.o bc.o
   gcc -o myapp main.o ab.o bc.o

 main.o: main.c a.h
   gcc -c main.c

 ab.o: ab.c a.h b.h
   gcc -c ab.c

 bc.o: bc.c b.h c.h
   gcc -c bc.c

4　　make

$ make -f Makefile1
