1. IBM Storages:

SONAS,V7k,V7ku,SVC,XIV

存储设备都安装了个性化定制的Linux系统,来完成不同的服务,这几台存储设备使用原理都是类似的,以SONAS (Scale Out NAS)为例画了一个图(一部分是在IBM发布会上截取的),以展示其中访问、运行与管理、使用的原理.

SONAS将三种不同类型的Node分开,而其他设备都将这三种Node进行了集成.实际使用中,要用两个相同设备进行备份.

其中V7ku是在V7k基础上,加上两个服务器组成,V7k支持block storage,V7ku加入的两个服务,可以支持file storage.

XIV,网格,只支持block storage.

2. For Virtual servers:

Linux enterprise edition 集成了虚拟机服务,装系统时可以配置,之后装上KVM便可以使用.

ESXi 是一个专门的提供虚拟服务的系统,装好该系统后,可以在windows上装VM client进行访问管理.
