Lesson 4 An existing trip

I have just received a letter from my brother,Tim. He is in Australia. He has been there for six months. Tim is an engineer. He is working for a big firm and he has already visited a great number of different places in Australia. He has just bought an Australia car and has gone to Alice Springs, a small town in the centre of Australia. He will soon visit Darwin. From there, He will fly to Perth. My brother has never been abroad before, so he is finding this trip very existing.

Note

1. excite: v. 激动
   exciting: adj. 令人兴奋的
   excited: adj. 兴奋的
   -ing: 令人感到……
   -ed: 自已感到……
   能这样变形的动词，其主语一般是人。
   e.g. The news excite me.
   interesting: 令人感兴趣的
   interested: 感兴趣的
   e.g. The book interests me.

2. receive: v. 接受，收到 （客观上的收到）= have
   accept: v. 同意接收
   e.g. This morning I received a bunch of flowers from a boy, but I didn't accept it.
   take: 收到
   e.g. take the exam, take advice

3. abroad: adv. 在国外 直接和动词连用
   go abroad, live abroad, study abroad

4. work for: 强调work
   work in: 强调地点
   e.g. I'm working for a school. I'm working in cnblogs.

5. from there: 从哪里起
   from + 时间／地点
   e.g. from half past 8 to half past 11.

6. find trip exciting
   find + 宾语 + adj(作宾补）
   e.g.
   find the room clean.
   find her happy.
   is finding: 口语中常用进行时态
   下面表示状态、感觉、情绪，精神活动的动词不可用于进行时。
   believe doubt see hear know understand belong think consider feel look seem show mind have sound taste require care like hate love detest desire
