PE+1.0 for up to 15W battery, improve charging time, faster than PE.

iW1788 output voltage : 3.6 ~ 5 (default) ~ 12V  for reducing charging time.

3.6V ~ 5V : every step is 200mV

5 ~ 12 : 5V 7V 9V 12V

PE+1.0 的 adapter 是使用 Vbus pin 來偵測 PE+1.0 protocol 的 command，不是使用 D+ D- pin 偵測。

Command Strings

Output Current Pulse 會組成 command string ，並反應到 一次側的 iW1788 的 Isense pin。

Command strings 有兩種，一個是 programming code，一個是 watchdog timer，這兩個不會同時被 Isense ping 偵測到，是互斥的。

Adapter 端的 output current > 250 mA 視為 High，

Adapter 端的 output current < 130 mA 視為 Low，

adapter 一送電後，會保持在 5V，直至接收到 command。

Watchdog timer 會監控 output，

假如 output current <  130mA 維持 220ms 或 更久，則 output voltage reset to 5V，

這有兩種應用，1個是 快速回到 5V，1個是 check adapter 是否從 mobile device 被拔出

Power Limiting Function

iW1788 提供一個固定的功率限制功能，

變壓器的尺寸大小與功率成正比，

以下為假設，

假設iW1788限制功率在20W，

iW1788可以提供

5V 4A 20W，

7V 2.85A 20W，

9V 2.22A 20W，

12V 1.66A 20W，

這個變壓器尺寸與下列來比較會較小，

假設iW1788沒有固定的功率限制功能，但要達到上面的 output 要求，

則最大的電壓為 12V，

最大的電流為 4A

方可達成 output 要求，

那麼 變壓器的功率則需要 12*4 = 48W，

這個功率差距相差1倍多，
